Long time reader, first time poster. Bought my silver ZI here in Beijing a couple of weeks ago. Using it with a 50 Planar and a 35 Nokton 1.2. Had been eyeing the ZI in the store for several months; had only seen two in all of China. It is also a limited edition.
Love it. Need to head to the developer in a few hours to pick up the processed film taken during the freak snow storm we had this past weekend.

My black ZI arrived today

But I still haven't decided what lens I want. (probably a VC 35). So the taking pictures part, will have to wait.
But it's a damn sexy looking camera.

Okay. Where are you all getting your Zeiss Ikons from? I've been looking everywhere for a secondhand one but it seems only B&H have it stocked (I'm in Australia). Also, what prices should we expect for a secondhand ZI?
best of luck with that, only could find aus site's listing new for around AU$1900-2000.
was in japan (cheap jetstar flight) on holiday last week and picked up a pretty used black zi and mint zm 35mm f2 in tokyo for less than a new one.
only shot one full roll but it is just beautiful, very happy

Well I guess I was lucky. I found a eBay auction for a black ZI, that nobody was bidding on. I found it with about 6 hours to go, and at the end I was the only bidder. The end price was about halve from what I would normally pay for a brand new ZI.

The ZI is the first new film camera I have purchased in many years and it is a lot of fun. It came with a cute little Sonnar C 50/1.5 that is very sweet...

I just bought a silver Z1 Limited Edition, factory demo refurbished by Zeiss. My lenses are a 35mm 1.2 Nokton and a 40mm f2 Summicron which I'm forced to use since my Summicron f2 DR won't focus to infinity due to rear element to body interference. So, I'm looking to buy a 50mm f1.5 Nokton or a 50mm f2 Zeiss Planar so I can return the Summicron 40mm back to it's rightful place on my Leica M8.

I'm fairly new here on RFF, and am also a happy ZI owner (black version). Two ZM lenses -- 35/2.0, 50/1.5 as well as a CV 21/4.0. Fun to use.

Hi, I am brand new here. I actually came looking for this forum because I recently bought a Zeiss Ikon, and I have a problem with it. I will look around the forums to see if there is a more appropriate place to address the problem (it is a serious light leak whenever the Exposure Lock button is pressed). In the meantime, it is the silver Limited Edition with the F2 35 Biogon. I have been thoroughly enjoying this camera and hope that this problem is a minor speed bump, but I was wondering if anyone else ever saw the same thing.

I just bought a mint silver ZI and a Biogon 35/2 on the auction site, both of which should arrive soon. I recently got a Planar 50/2 which I tested on my M8.2, and I found it to be sharper than my 50/2 Summicrons - what a lens! I'm really eager to try out my ZM lenses on the ZI.
My next ZM purchase will be something wider, probably the 25/2.8. I'd love to have the 85/2 sometime but that will take serious $$$!
