Who uses a 35mm (or 40mm) lens only? How's that going for you? Feel free to post a photo of your 35mm(or 40mm) rig.
It is permissible to lie if you wish (meaning you occasionally use a 90mm, etc.)

That is all I use with my Leica M. First it was an M6 w/40mm summicron for years but recently (a little over a year ago) switched to an M4 and voigtlander 35mm. Both are wonderful and all I ever needed.

To accompany my Leica M, I shoot 28 and 50 with a Contax SLR. Seems to be the perfect setup for my needs.

I must have been chosen by the 40mm path as I ended up having 40mm almost in all formats. Actually have become quite used to it. Good for general use and environmental portraiture. A disadvantage is that (affordable) lenses tend to be slower. Sometimes I wish I had wider. But 50mm feels too long!

m43 digital: Sigma 19 2.8 (I do have the 35-100 tele)
35mm: Pentax MX and 40 2.8 pancake. mju I 35mm 3.5
Medium Format: Fuji GW690 (38mm eq)

Kinda have to with these two:

And then there is this:

But, yep, I prefer 35mm FOV and a little wider sometimes, hence my CL with the Nikkor 28.

After I purchased XA in Vancouver it was my go everywhere camera. For couple of years.
And then it crapped out.
I got Bessa R and LTM 35 Color Skopar pancake. And used it for couple of years until R started to look like it is going to crap out.
I sold some gear and R and purchased M4-2 in good condition for low price.
I had several 35mm lenses on it until I got Summarit-M 35 2.5 and couple years later, M4-2 not exactly crapped out but needed parts and months waiting for parts and still need parts to work without glitches.
Same lens was in use as most used lens on M-E 220. I have to send it for new sensor.

Here is obviously something terribly wrong with this focal length.

I never had 35mm lens on Canon SLR and DSLRs. They are just keep on working.
So, with my recent venture to Nikon SLRs I have several lenses and none of them are 35mm. I only have 28 and wider.

Ko.Fe. the Nikkor 35mm f 2 .....even far back to pre-AI is a wonderful lens.

I'm having a ball with Vivitar lenses. Cost less, images are good and focus rotates as it should. I'm this _ close to put focus tabs on them.

Made my return to rangefinders back in 2006, thanks to the chief bartender. It was a CV R3a and CV 40mm 1.4. Still have the lens but now mated to a CV R3M. Also have a Leica M4-2 with that lovely silver Zeiss 35/2.

For SLRs, I explored various cameras (Minolta, Pentax, Nikkormat) before happening upon a Nikon FM2n. I then got a CV Ultron 40mm f2.0 SLII and... bingo! That's the SLR kit for me (I keep an 85/2.0 in the bag just in case). Very happy with the camera and the lens.

For rangefinder, I'm mainly a 50/35 guy, but I've had a Minolta M-Rokkor 40/2.0 on my M3 now for a few weeks, and it might stay there. Permanently.

Who uses a 35mm (or 40mm) lens only? How's that going for you? .............

About 95% of my photos for the last 2-3 years have been with a 23mm (35mm full frame equivalent) on a Fuji XPro 1 body. About 3-4% have been with the 14mm (21mm equivalent) on that body. If I ever carry a second lens, that is the only one. The small remainder have been with an original X-100 (also 35mm equivalent lens) that I bought here last year and now lives in my car.

Obviously I think it is going well for me or I would change.

Long history with 40mm here:
Pentax MX with the 40/2.8 and 50/1.4 for many years.
Pentax Q7 with 01 lens, Hasselblad with 80mm and new CL with 28/2, I also count as 40mm.
Used the VC 40/1.4 occasionally with a M6 and M9, but when the 40/1.2 was released that really hit the spot and it's now my first choice lens for all occasions.

I almost exclusively used the Nokton 40mm for a couple of years before moving to 35mm. The 23mm is by far my most used lens on the X-Pro2 and the GRII is my third most used camera.

M6 Canon 35mm f2.8 Portra 160

M6 Nokton 40mm f1.4 Lomo Lady Grey

M6 Elmar-M 50mm f2.8 (Why did I sell it? WHY?!) even made Fomapan 400 look good

Nikon F with 35 2.8 AI 95% of the time. For the other 5% it's the 135 3.5 ai, the other lens in my two lens kit.

Digital it's the Fuji X100S.

Love the 35mm focal length.

I realized that I had most of my keepers with a Leica 35mm that I went with a Sony RX-1 as my main camera for about 4 years before I added a A7s so that I could use some of my large group of 50mm lenses.
