I bought it ages ago and use it very seldomly, but our annual royal show was on last weekend and thought it would be a great oppurtunity to go and do some photography amongst side show alley with this fun lens. I noticed another girl photographer there with a canon shift and tilt lens too. Now that would be one cool lens to use around side show alley. The lens baby is fun but it can be very hit and miss.

Have you got any lens baby pics? Post them here!

I have just started scanning, I'll post some more soon. I wanna see yours too!

I got mine a few month ago but do not use it as much as I should... (last one with some extension tubes....)

Rich, these have got to be some of the best lens baby pics i have seen. I really love no 2 and 3, and the light flaring in no 1 is cool. What aperture ring were you using?

Thanks much! I think #2 was either f/2 or f/2.8 (Lensbay 2.0) and #3 may have been f/2.8 or f/4.....

You guys have posted some really nice pics :) displaying very nice control over the effect, just as I'm lamenting the lack of a TS for my OM.

I've had one for just over 12 months, used it to death when I first got it and have just started using it again. Will post some shots later. My little avatar photo is with a lens baby II. Andrew.

Wow - I've always thought the lensbaby was just a naff marketing gimmick (like "lomography"), but those shots are superb!

Thanks for your comments on my shots.

I don't use my lensbaby enough, but I don't regret buying one. If you like the effect I think the new 3G lensbaby would be well worth a look as it offers better control. I have the lensbaby 2 which is awkward for the tripod work and still life which I like to do, but the 2 is great for portraits. I also use extension tubes to get easier close focus.

Erik and anyone else, I would like to see your tilt and shift pics here too, we can compare them to the lens baby pics.

one thing I don't like about the lensbaby is that instead of oof regions as you would achieve with a T+S lens, you instead get blurs that resemble motion blur.

I don't know the physics that comes into play here to result in this.. why can't they make a cheap lens like the lensbaby that will give results more like a T+S lens?

Epimetheus, I really like pics 1 and 3.

I am gonna have to try some black and white film on this lens as I really like it.

Ywenz, yes the blur does give a sense of motion, but depending what you want, I think it can add to the photo. I think pic 1 of Epimetheus's is a good example.
