Why are M8 prices still so high?

Some of us who own an M8 or M8.2 (Moi) are not complaining that they have held their value, at least partially.

Had an M8.2 which was a great camera, but didn't like the lens multiplying factor. I see the world in 28, 50, 90 but I couldn't do that with three lenses if I brought a film body and the M8.2 digital body. So I sold it for an M-E, which I really like.

But most folks I know still think the B&W conversion of M8 images look more like B&W film than the converted images from the M9 series cameras. I think that might be one reason the M8 cameras are still holding their value.

I've owned a couple of digital M's over the past few years but always seem drawn back to the M8. Not sure if its the rendering I love of the fact that I've taken many memorable shots with one. Recently purchased a black chrome M8 here on the forum and don't think I'll be getting rid of this one any time soon.

How to see the world in 28, 50, and 90 with an M8.2:

Use the 21mm for the 28mm equivalent.

Use the 35mm For a 50mm eq.

Use a 75mm for a 100mm eq. (That might be close enough to 90.)

This is what I have been doing. Also, I use the 28mm to get my 35mm equivalent.

I purchased one from England off ebayuk, when bidding got done it was a great price
and it's a pretty nice camera. I haven't been using it much lately and
been thinking of selling it but maybe not.
