Why buying a Bessa?

Palabras,
if you'll eat 1 kg of "finocchiona" I'll have to bring you to hospital!!😀
and so you'll not be able to try my bessa&nok.50....

Ok, I'll take a picture of you while eating it! by the way finocchiona is really very good ... ma come mai noi italiani ci facciamo sempre riconoscere??😀

Yes bmicklea - I just couldn't agree more.

...I'm waiting in trepadation to receive a Bessa 3A with 40mm M-Mount Lens. I've already bought a 28mm Skopar LTM and am waiting for a Ukraine 50mm Lens (ebay).

...My Nikon F90X, SB28 ... Sigma Lens ...50mm F1.4 ...I've enjoyed using my SLR, BUT I had such a lot more fun with my old (passed-on) Leica IIIC - because the pictures were just amazing - beautiful - colourfull. But having to cut the film leader and not being able to use slow shutter speeds reliably was a real inconvenience.

So now I aspire to follow in your footsteps bmicklea and just stick with something that I know - work with equipment that I can get used to using (be at one with) - work with a familiar frame size taking pictures of subjects that I am really interested in.

Can I just expand this thread a little bit more please.

I've bought a Weston EuroMaster Light Meter (actually the Scotish model in good condition) and am wondering now about a Flash Gun for my upcoming RF. I hardly ever used my Speedlight with my Nikon SLR - would I ever use it with a RF? ...in which case, in practice would I ever use my lightmeter with a TTL RF?

Steve, if you want a flashgun for emergencies have a look for the Centon FG20 in Jessops bins / eBay. It's thyristor controlled with a GN of 20m and covers my 40/1.4 nicely. It also swivels up for bounce. It's also quite sturdy and small for stashing (2xAA)

I got mine for 99p.
