Why did I wait so long to do C-41 at home?

A colour set is waiting here for me to be used as well. I just can't find the time at the moment, but soon, very soon!
 
I always say, do BW developing for 50 years and there will still be people telling you how to do it right, do a single C-41 roll and you'll be telling everybody how to do it.

Yes. But C41 (and E6) is pretty much a fixed process - there are universe of developer choices using different developing agents, and mixing your own from raw materials is very much doable. All of which is magic.
 
I understand Tetenal are discontinuing the 1 ltr kit, I have noticed Rollei offering Colorchem C-41 blix kit, presumably made by Tetenal. Are the two
identical? Also Rollei Digibase, another hobbyist kit (bleach + fix), changed its name to Compard digibase?
