Why do some "random" photos need a password

Recently when I click on photos that come up at random on the home page I sometimes can't access them because I need a password.

I didn't know that some photos need a password. Why is this?

it's a bug in the system.
these pics were originally posted in an album that needs a password to view them, but for some reason, they show in the random images.

when you create a gallery you have the option of making it private. Those random images are in a private gallery. I'm not sure why the system would choose to display a private image, though.

Ok. Thanks for explaining. So I guess they shouldn't be even showing up in the first place. Too bad, since some seem to be pretty nice.

I agree, too bad.

The other day I clicked on a thumbnail of Shutterflower (George) in the random image generator, and was blocked. Photo looked interesting.
