If more flexible exposure bracketing is required (and perhaps also add'l outright resolution), and the advantages of Fuji's APS-C line-up versus Sony's full-frame aren't as meaningful (smaller/lighter, file malleability and high iso performance, etc), changing to Sony makes sense. Sony has some outstanding glass, if you can deal with the size and cost and limited variety, and there's always non-OEM lenses, which give enormous flexibility if you're good with adapters.
Fuji has frustrating blind spots, no doubt. I like Fuji gear for what I do, but it's sometimes an unhappy set of compromises.
