Why I bought a RF...

These images sum it up pretty well.

Pictured are: my 'new' Canon P with 50/2, and my other 35 mm outfit - Canon A2E and vertical grip with Sigma 28-105/2.8

The A2E has it's uses, especially with the dedicated flash or 300mm lens, but it's no longer for everyday shooting...

I remenber my year book club teacher in high school shooting with a Minolta rangefinder. Myself and the other student photographer were both using Yashica FX3's with auto winders. He ( the mentor) always seamed to get better candid shots. About a year or so ago I came across a Minolta F at the goodwill and that fired up my intrest in rangefinders and film cameras again.
 
Yes. This is why I first became interested in a Canonet when I heard about them. Cheap, fast, sharp, and descrete. Why not? That of course made me want a better RF, so I got an R2A and a couple of lenses. I doubt I'll ever use a film SLR again.
