Time to go out and take photos with my M6 TTL, you gotta be kidding, not even any peace for a quick look on 'THE Forum'.....

Of course you wouldn't change for the world.

Anyone else have 'similar' issues.....

She must be about 1 right? In my household it's a daily fight to keep my 1 year old away from the laptop... Especially likes the power cords...

If you're looking for a new fun toy for your kid, throw a few pennies in an empty film can, my daughter plays with these for hours, makes me wonder why you'd ever spend money on toys...

Well, just get used to it; kids won't stop worrying you until they turn 30something... Seriously though, by the time the little angel stops "stealing time" the Leica M21 is probably out, and you will be able to enjoy a mature product utilizing the latest sensor technology. You should be grateful :D

Enjoy it while you can. Kids are precious, as will be God willing, the grandkids.

My problem is between work and family (and RFF :D), there isn't much time for taking photos. :p

Our daughter is half a year old and already unnaturally fascinated by anything that clicks or blinks.

I know the situation. Cameras with unfinished rolls still in them, undeveloped rolls piling up in the fridge, and loads of negatives still unscanned. Heck, even my Ricoh GX200 has 800 photos I still haven't imported. Time has gotten so precious...

But anyway - you don't need to go out to use your camera when you have such a cute subject right in front of you :D
Shoot as much as you can!!

Soon she will be using the laptop (and texting, IM, Facebook, ect...) and you will have plenty of time to take photos. I miss having my baby daughter but she is a pretty cool teenager as well!

I know the feeling, I have rolls waiting to be developed, havent shot anything in at least a month. My son is 6 months old, I once put him in a carrier, strapped him on me, grabbed my camera and went for a walk, but once I put the m6 up to my face and clocked him with it, idea went out the window.. He laughed.. Guess this will have to wait until he can walk and carry a canonet.. :)

Cherish that moment.

It's been a short six-years since I had that same problem.

Now she can argue with me

Mine's doing same thing but growing so fast that will reach it's keyboard soon. She's on about 50% frames I shot

Mine is seven and can finally carry a decent size camera, we go shooting together at the zoo, it's fun. But the last six years has been mostly about buying more gear and dreaming of time to use it :D

In all fairness I do get some camera time. Just no time to develop much.

It works like this:

Oldest child is 3 yrs - Nikon D200 - thousands of RAW files of him, wife on maternity leave lots of process time and therefore prints. Lots of b&w and some lovely fibre-based prints in home darkroom
This one - hundreds of RAW files - realise no time for RAW process as wife takes care of newborn, Daddy takes care of 30 month old in the evening.
Give up on digital (almost) and shoot Ektachrome 100G of her. Mail off and top quality transparencies returned. Job done.
Dozen or so b&w films collecting dust (proverbially); find time to develop one or two every month. Wife back at work, eldest at nursery school, 8 month old sleeps less than 40 min at a time in the day - to knackered by evening.
Slowly developing all b&w - no time to fibre-base print - move house and no time to build a darkroom - yet!

We are so lucky that both me and my wife work shifts and so we get to spend more time with the children. (Red wine consumption has plunged quicker than Kodachrome sales but we're hanging in their and will not be discontinuing it!)

Oldest now says "Leica" instead of "cheese" when having his picture taken and wants to look through the finder and take pictures of his little sister. She crawls straight at you when the M6TTL is leveled at her. Oh well.

When Nikki was 3 months old, I would be holding her while asleep and be doing some programming at the computer. She managed to wake-up, reach over, and hit the Control-ALT-Delete while I was in Real-Mode DOS.

I learned my lesson.

I did this for a friends daughter about the same age. They thought I was crazy but she loved it and couldn't get the lid open. It was brilliance!
