Why I need another camera

Inspired by RML, who asked: "Finding excuses, Steve?:)"

1. I need one that can change lenses.
2. I need one that has a fixed lens.
3. I need one for 200 speed film.
4. I need one for 400 speed film.
5. and black and white.
6. I need one with a meter.
7. This one's cool because it has no meter, so it forces me to really *think* about exposure!
8. I need a black one for street photography.
9. I need a silver one for just carrying around because the black one is worth too much.
10. I need a leica.
11. Because.
12. I need a folder
13. I need one that fits in my jacket pocket.
14. I need one that fits in my jeans pocket.
15. I need one that has one of those cool turret finders.
16. I need one with a hot shoe.
17. I need one that's all manual.
18. I need a fast lens.
19. I need one with a longer lens.
20. I need one with aperture priority auto-exposure.

#10 is correct. You definately _need_ a Leica. All photographers should own a Leica at least once in a lifetime......

21 one with a self time
22 one whos name is written on the camera in a language I don't understand
23 one that if you leave it at a laundramat you won't mind if it isn't there when you return
24 one that will definately be there when you return
 
You mean you guys don't actually HAVE all of THOSE cameras yet???!!!

How about a beat-up Leica M7? Is it possible to shut off the electronics on the M7? If so (I guess taking out the battery won't make the cam completely inoperable) than comes close to the "perfect" camera.

So, instead of an M3 everybody should have an M7! Brian's dream just got upgraded! :p

battery out of an M7 leaves you no meter and choice of 1/50th and 1/125th shutter speeds. so........

5. and black and white. check... (3 x M7's?)

Funny thing is, you could probably meet all those requirements and get out of it cheaper than getting an M7! :D

Which isn't to say it's a damn good idea...

Thanks rover, #23 and #24 had the household laughing.

Regarding #22... my Zorki's case has the name 'I Coxhead' written on the inside. All I can think is "poor bastard, I can imagine the names he got called at school."

#27 Same camera again in case the first one breaks down
...hence the reason behind two Bessas and two 500c's...

...Hmmm a second Technika, excuse me I'm off to ram-raid the nearby cash machine.
