why is there no perfect bag?

I'm starting to think it's hard to beat the good old Billingham Hadley - quality materials, big enough for two cameras (even a MF camera!) but not excessively large, the button latches beat the crap out of velcro.
 
This is it.
It holds everything and anything.
The perfect bag.

I almost forgot: unlike most bags, this one frequently comes with a camera already inside. Let's see Billingham, Crumpler, Lowe, Tenba, Domke, Fogg et al try to match that.

You're wanting this, then.

I've been using it with a Crumpler insert. My favorite bag is the Chrome Niko, but its big downfall is a lack of ipad/netbook compartment. For a small day bag, it's awesome. If you ride a bike with your camera, it's awesome.

But for schlepping to work, I use the Bag of Holding.
 
What's wrong with me? I've had the Hadley Pro for almost five years now - it's still the perfect bag for the rangefinder kit.

I have no end of problems with bags, when I want to go out with my MAmiya it is too big to fit in the Domke style satchel. Otherwise I can take out all I want to use in an 802 and the pockets on it work out really well. All I really need is a deeper version of the same bag but it only needs to be about 2 inches deeper if that. I have been through no end of types of bag and have found that I prefer the satchel style to work from or a form of messenger bag, but so many of the inserts are over thick in their padding. I detest crumplers as the padding just seems way too thick, but I know I will never find the right bag
 
3 camera systems, have 8 different bags (12 if you count old no longer used ones). So yes, something is awry with camera bag manufacturers. But you have to admit, they do know how to take your money and keep you going back for more 😉
 
This is all a bit strange!

I have two lowepro bags that I bought about five years ago ... a hiking backpack and one that hangs off a shoulder ... both with a bit of re-arranging of the partitions will carry most systems ... 35mm or MF!

I also have a domke f5-xb that I bought about three years ago ... a seriously good little bag IMO.

Anything more than this would be insanity ... what's wrong with you people? 😛
