Hi !

I didn't see any topic about that... Hope it really was the case.

I'm really wondering why mister K has not released yet any K-mount, Voigtlander branded, SLR ?

I mean : they now make 3 different lenses in K-mount, that all cover a full 24x36 frame. They also built for Zeiss their ZK range, with amazing lenses that also cover the full frame.
I guess I'm also not the only one to use and cherish old Pentax K lenses...

Yet, there is no camera on the new market, that allows using these manual focus lenses on a full frame ! Pentax manual cameras are getting old and hard to repair. I'd really like to have a camera with better metering than my ME... But investing in an LX now doesn't seem wise to me...

So... Why not throw in a K-mount instead of the M42 and re-release the Bessaflex ? At around 300$ I'd get one in a heartbeat !

First - there is a Voigtlander-branded K-mount SLR:

Second - this camera is unnecessary because Cosina made K-mount cameras for Vivitar under the Vivitar brand name for decades, and there are a gazillion of them floating around out there. A lot of them are new in the box for $10, but you can spend a couple hundred on the 'me-too' VSL43 if you want to.

Third - Voigtlander also makes those lenses in Nikon F. And yes, Cosina made Nikon cameras too, the FM-10.

Fourth - As you might or might not have noticed, building a new film camera is a really bad idea with film sales off a cliff.

The VSL43 and Vivitar models appear to be low-end consumer grade offerings. Market conditions notwithstanding,
as a Pentax-K user I would like to see a new Cosina K-mount film SLR built as well as the Cosina Bessa rangefinders.
