I have searched for a forum devoted to Petri cameras but have not been able to find one..I understand they might not be the prefered cameras of many but they do have a place in the history of RF. Why isn´t there a Petri forum?

Thanks, E.

I don't think there are enough users, I have a Petri 7s, and really like it. My first RF was a Petri, too. There is an 'other RFs forum though.' If you have a Petri question post it on that forum. I think you will surprised how useful the response will be.

Petri Forum

I for one own several Petri cameras, both rangefinders and SLR's and would love to have a forum to partake of.

I also have a Petri - the MF-101. It's a kinda simple, solid and straight forward mechanic
camera I bought for 20€. I love it. Plus, the grip of the Bessa's fits on it. *g*

That's very cool! I had not seen any photos of that 'last' Petri made by Cosina. I take it that's a Pentax P/K lens mount?

Back when I was shopping for my first real camera, I considered the Petri 7s, mainly because it was very reasonable in price and other kids had them and liked them. IIRC it was only f2.8, and I really wanted something faster.

I don't think I ever found out for sure whether it was properly pronounced "pee-tree" or "pet-ree", anybody know for sure? :)
