Why on earth do I have six Nikon F / F2's?

F2 / color-print
F2 / slide
F2 / BW
F / color-print
F / slide
F / BW

... makes sense to me ! :D;)

Well, there's seven days in the week ... so you're actually one Nikon short!

I learned that sort of logic here at RFF. :p

Without the prisms, they make good substitutes for bricks. I'm willing to bet if you keep collecting them, you could build yourself a Nikon house which is both lighter and stronger than a brick one.

Or you could donate your least favorite F2 to someone who would use it quite frequently. Wink, wink...

When you ask "Why do I have six Noct Nikkors?" then there is a real problem.

An interesting question might be what maximum weight would it be with all your cameras and a lens mounted on each.

Just some curious musings.

Happy shooting!

I have another on the way. That gives me a black plain prism F, a black plain prism F2, a chrome F2 with metered head, and a black F2 with metered head.

For you it's Nikons, for me it's the original Canon F-1. I have so many (seven? eight?), I've lost count. And don't ask me why. I just like these things.

I do own a Nikon F though. One of the world's great 3mm SLR cameras.

Because with some clever mounting work, six cable-releases and some duct-tape you could make yourself a 360 degree camera?

Six 50mm lenses with 45 degree field of view and enough for a small overlap . . . wouldn't work, errmmmm, 35mm lenses then??
