Why shoot film if you just need digital files and even want to destroy the negatives?

Hmm, seems like a consesus here. I do keep the negs but I was just wondering about the overall process including fixing.

Between simply going by-the-book in terms of developing/fixing–really, there's little in the way of rocket-science here–and proper storage, there's isn't that much more to know or do in terms of taking reasonable care of your film. Load, shoot, develop, scan, print, store, repeat.

That's what I said until I moved to a neighborhood where there is a convenient public darkroom (community college).
Besides, when you become famous, the exhibit curator will want to make gelatin silver prints of the negatives 😀
