Why TIF and no DNG?

Everytime I transfer files to the PC from the M8 they come accross as TIF files 10 mb. But I cannot open them. Getting frustrated here and dont feel like reading instructions at this time 🙁

Jorge, I empathize. I understand your eagerness to open the files, but sometimes you just have to RTFM.

how are you transferring the pictures from the camera to your computer? unless that software is also converting them to TIFF, my guess is that they are still DNG but mislabeled.

try renaming them to whatever.DNG and then load with photoshop. make sure you have the latest camera raw.

Ok, If I transfer the files with the USB cable they come accross as TIF even if they are recorded as DNG.

If I pull the card and use a card reader, they come accross as DNG.
