Wideangle pics please!

It was the 19mm lens on an old Canon Ftb that opened my eyes to the wide side. After getting into Leica the 21mm Super Angulon was a must have lens. Don't have the Canon SLRs any longer, but 15mm and 21mm for Leica and 10-20mm on Nikon DSLR satisfy my needs for wide.... here's an old shot with the Canon 19mm..

This is another minus for attaching from RFF gallery, it doesn't show up when you quote the post containing it. 🙂

Anyways, Glenn, I like the picture of the motorcycle steering bar a lot. Good job!

Chris101, I went to your blog. Imagination just plain is not your short suit. You are way outside the box. I wish I had a little of that in me. Very, very well quirky.

Agree with John.

I can't wait until Chris gets his hands on the Traveling Oly RC 🙂

Thanks charjohncarter and thanks shadowfox! 😱

Will, I check the TORC thread every other day, even though I estimate it'll be about a year until it gets here.

You might find how I made the bike shot amusing? A buddy showed up one day on new wheels which he'd just bought. I had an idea for a photo and got him to wear the camera around his neck while I sat on the back seat advancing film and firing the shutter as we drove along. You can just make out the speedometer reading ~ 50mph, that's why the road is blurred.

When I took a large print to a club photo competition it had a little pre-digital photoshopping applied.... ;-) I used bleach and spotting colour to remove the original speedo and tach needles and replace them with new ones showing ~ 110mph and 6000 rpm. It took a few minutes for people to notice my changes, and had great fun stringing them along....

The print did well in competition and the Glenbow gallery in Calgary used it to make a poster advertizing a photography salon. Have heard that it's still possible to buy one of the posters from the gallery shop. Not too shabby for a klunky old SLR with a weird lens. Here's another shot from the Canon Ftb, 19mm combination, can't get more contra-jour than this one....

John, thanks for kicking the ball to keep it rolling.

Chris, I'll answer for John, the Zenitar comes in M42 mount (any other mounts, maybe?). It's one of the favorites in the P-screwmount crowd. Because of this, it's now overpriced. If a cheap one comes my way, I'd sure pick it up, but not until.
