Wideangle pics please!

ChrisN, I forgot to answer about the Zenitar. Will is right, but an imitation of ChrisN I have mine so I can screw mount it to a Leica LTM, Spotmatic, or any K mount Pentax box. For me, that is 8 camera bodies.

Glenn2, how did you do that? Is the camera around your neck?

20mm, Glenn2 wide angles make you crazy too. But not like ChrisN, he has a gift of originality. Darn, Do you give lessons, ChrisN.

Especially evil...

Especially evil...

:p

...in that it's a Dslr and the lens is a Soligore X0.15 fisheye attachment on a 50mm lens. Then to be even more Evil I geometrically corrected it using PanoTools remap plug-in. And it's my son, who is a tiny bit evil sometimes...

I'm actually Chris H., but Gurskian refers to photographer Andreas Gursky.

Thanks fopr the infor on the Zenitar Will. I have this thing called a Dionar, makes converts a normal lens into a circular fisheye, or a 2x normal lens into a rectangular fisheye. It's funky:

but I like what it does!

Cool thread. I was considering getting a 21 or a 25 for my Bessa, but I decided to get a 24 for my SLR so I could get a taste for the focal length at a lower cost. Anyway, here are a couple of shots from my Minolta MC Rokkor 24mm f2.8. I haven't had this lens very long, but I love it so far.

C/V 15mm. Sharp as tack, a great landscape lens. I took it often with me in a 1-kilo-bag on horseback. Not possible with a SLR lens of this focal length.

I learned everything I know about wide angle photography from the book Wide-Angle Photography (Petersen's How-to Photographic Library). It's a great book, but a bit dated as far as what equipment is available.

... Chris 101, great pictures. I love the one in the bar!
Thanks ZG! I really enjoy shooting in bars too - you get to meet the most photogenic people that way! (Or so they seem at the time. ;|) The f/2 is really good for indoor WA shooting! I wish they made a fast superwide that I could afford for Leica mount, but this way, I have an excuse to shoot my OM1.

Frank, love the horse in that lovely landscape shot.

Glenn, nice Escheresque shot

All, seriously Nice Pics!!

Prakticar 2,8/28 in B-mount. Camera was Praktica B200 electronic

This is absolutely a beautiful shot! The horse's head makes the picture in my opinion. It's rare that we see a shot with a lens this wide that doesn't look like a special effect. It's excellent.

Caught! ..... Right you are, I tweaked it with Corel photopaint... Cloned out the camera, and blacked the background.

Here's another version with M4 & 21mm SA in other hand. Yes Shadowfox, I'm a big fan of Escher, and not above swiping an idea or two. His print with the globe and hand drawing the scene is one of my favorites. It helps to have a camera with a selftimer for this sort of thing, too bad Leitz dropped them from later models.

Canon FD 24mm/2.8 on a Canon F1N: Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA. I "discovered" Antelope Canyon before the place was made public.

Another

Another

Taking advantage of the extreme DOF. Taken with a Soligor X0.15 fisheye attachment held over the lens of a Toshiba P&S digital camera, which unfortunately washed out the highlights.

Awsome Glenn! I really like the geometric grid as reflected in the ball. You done MCE proud!
