Hi Mat,
It sure is a beautiful spot. The inside of the lower Antelope Canyon is not that large, so it is easy to get similar looking images. The one you posted has great reddish color. You must have waited until the early afternoon hours. I had to leave by 10:00am.

Raid:

Yes, I was in Lower Antelope Canyon in midday -- it's a great place to be while you wait for the warm light of late afternoon to bathe the landscape above. Ekatachrome E100VS really brings out the orange/red hues.

Matt: I had a flight leaving from Las Vegas a few hours later that day, so I was pressed for time. I was there on November 29, 1989. There were no published maps for Antelope Canyon at that time.

Lots of great pictures in this tread!

No kidding :)

Raid, so when one day I get to visit that place, can I find a little scribble on the rock "Raid was here" :D

Gabriel, gorgeous photos as usual!

Wray, that's a cool darkroom!

I concur, Chris101, perfect VW, and Wray good shot and wonderful dark room.
Hey, thanks but that darkroom belongs to my friend Bill whom I've known for a long time - ever since college photo class days. I was over visiting him a while back and snapped these shots in between printing sessions.

What's especially cool is - I don't see a computer in there!

Tom, cool pic!
And you get your blog going as well, awesome!! I see that you don't need any hand-holding ;)

Cool! More cacti from my back yard! I really love the last one - with the floral crown. Where is that? I might recognize the little hill, but then they all look pretty much alike. :|

The cacti are from the mcdowell sonoran land trust area in n. scottsdale.
The other shot is from the rim off of 260.
