Ilford's machinery for finishing 220 had worn out. As there was some customer demand they looked into replacing it, but the cost was too great to justify. They then looked into having someone else finish it for them (Kodak) but no deal could be made. So, no more 220 HP-5. They did offer it the past, I shot some back in the day.
