Will 12585H add scratch to a Black Summicron 35

I put my 12585H on my summicron 35 Version 2 today. Very nice fit, But I want to know will the small clamp teeth of 12585 coz any demage on the black painting of the summicron?

I am still thinking of a plastic square hood for the 35/2, where can I find any OEM hood of 12524?

Hate to say it but in my experience, yes, eventually the metal clamp-on hoods will wear through the black anodizing on the filter ring area. This is caused by the teeth, not the ring, so (although I haven't dug through the bag to check my newer hoods) I think any of the clamp-on hoods is going to do this, although the ones with plastic rings (but metal teeth) probably do it less because they don't also wear the outside of the filter ring itself.

If you are worried about damage or wear to your lens/camera you need to put them in a glass showcase. If on the other hand you plan to use them they will get scratches, paint wear, etc.

So yes at some point the lens is going to get wear/usage marks by the lens hood.
