Will be working through my Tri-X 1600 way...

40oz, Earl, thank you for your comments.
For now it seems I nailed down my push processing with Tri-X to 1600 in HC-110 in dill H, at least for high contrast session as 32 minutes (20 deg. C) with modest agitation (30 sec continuous slow at the beginning, then 1 turn over per 4 minutes). That seems to hold well highlights. What I see have yet to be improved are shadows, not sure though I can do much by development on the matter (rather then by exposure), but I'm willing to try the weak dilluted semi-stand approach as was suggested in few earlier threads that dealt with Tri-X pushing in HC-110.
Once I'll do that, I'll report back.

Keep us informed everyone. Fascinating thread. I haven't pushed film in a long time. My first try was Tri-X at 1600 using D76 as that was all I could get to in the Army craft shops. I will have to look for that print or the negatives as it worked out fairly well. After that I used other combinations going ususally to 3200, and maybe a few times to 6400. I think when I did that I was using something called, iirc, Factor 8. I don't have those negatives as they were all done for cases, over 25 years ago, and went in those files. Pushing is fun however. I am much impressed with you guys results. Better than mine from so long ago I think.

Thanks, I will.
Well, perhaps if you would use contemporary meterials yelding the results at least not worse thenthese presented in the current thread wouldn't be a major hassle for your given your experience. God knows...
