will fuji make a 16?

After the 56mm comes out, I expect a 16 and a 90 to be next. Maybe a 10 before too long.

Then we'd have 15, 21, 24, 28, 35, 40, 50, 85, 90 macro, and 135 equivalents... A pretty full line up. And before they go to adding something longer, like a 135/140 or a 200, I imagine we'll see some second lenses in some focal lengths. Leaf-shutters, perhaps. Or an updated 35mm lens with the manual focus mode currently found on the 14 and 23 (and expected on the 56 I believe). The 18's reputation makes it a candidate for update as well. And they'd certainly sell a smaller, lighter, cheaper 23mm if they made one.

Just my guesses. Either way, we'll probably see a few more zooms before most of these materialize.

Leaf shutter interchangable lenses would be really interesting, having two separate shutters working together could allow for much faster shutter speeds. But I'd say newer bodies with electronic/focal plane shutters would perhaps be more likely.

But yeah I imagine a 16 would come out eventually, but considering how near it is to the 14 and the 18 I don't think it would be much of a priority.
 
A 16 from Fuji would make me jump. 24-50 equivalents are my basic preferred two lens set up. I'd probably be dying to add the 56 after that.

OT: I've been tempted by a number of XF lenses but still have only the lone 35/1.4 that the XP1 came with. Not a problem for me since I love 50 efov, and recently got a Hawk close focus M - XF adapter that allows me to use the CV 35/1.2 on the XP1. Wow!

You & me both! I get furious when all I see are zoom lenses that start at 14mm or 18mm. In a previous life, I adored a wonderful little Sigma 24mm to 70mm zoom. If Fuji produces something similar, 16-50 perhaps, I will be all over an X-E2 and said 24-70 zoom. In the meantime, A Sony A7/A7R is the leader in the clubhouse. I still own the Sigma 24-70 & Canon FD adapters are plentiful.
Meanwhile, Olympus makes a 12-50 for the OMD line. Fuji & Sony just don't understand. Nor Canon for that matter. Overlooking the BRICK, 24-70 f/2.8 BEAST.

I backed out last time... and I just bought it today, so...I don't know yet. That said, it will be used very sparingly by me... there's a few shots I've been trying to make where 18mm (28mm) isn't wide enough. I was too cheap to buy the 14mm because I know I will not use it much.

I don't mean to derail the conversation but I have a bit of a question. I realize it's quite a difficult comparison to make, but how does the Ricoh compare to the 18mm in terms of contrast and sharpness? I really like Ricohs and the 28mm FL, the fuji 18mm seems to get a lot of negative comments which makes me wonder if it is better to just get a GR or GRDIV.
 
In my opinion the Ricoh's lens is sharper, but the contrast is similar. The 18mm from Fuji just isn't up to par with its larger lenses. It's good but not great. I think the Ricoh GR's lens is more towards the great end of the scale. Totally unscientific opinion of course. I would gladly use the 18mm with my Fujis. It's just that I needed a pocket camera and the Ricoh outperformed it for my needs.

Ahhh.. How about a speedbooster and the Leica r or contax or Nikon 24/25mm lens on the xp1. I use it w/ my Nikon af and ais lenses.
