Rumors a few month back raised the hopes of another M8 firmware upgrade. has anyone seen or heard anything of late?

I swear I saw this same thread a week ago. When someone said "Leica is going to release an update in May. Where is it?"
Well it was all rumour and speculation. If it's going to happen then it'll just show up one day but don't go around hoping for it. I don't even know what Leica could offer the M8 in terms of firmware upgrades. Maybe remapping the Protect button to ISO and other menu items. Or even manual lens selection. But other than that there's nothing they can do.
I hope they someday offer the ability to upgrade M8 bodies to M9 sensors and specs. Although I'll be getting rid of my M8 soon and that would actually anger me knowing I could have had two M9's. But otherwise, it's a dead end. And it's not like the M8 isn't a good camera. It's great. It's just the first digital M.

swoop: i saw that, too, a few weeks back. it seems that was myth/vaporware/whatever you want to call it.
