I have a lot of respect for Bill Eggleston because of his originally and also how he has maintained his distance from 'the photography scene', its groupies, scavenging art dealers, blogs and other nonsense.
Thanks, those videos were most interesting. I've seen a little of his work before, but never looked further. I will now. I see we have some things in common, minus the success and MOMA! 🙂
I liked it when at the end he rewound his film. Does anybody know what type of film he uses: today and in 1960s. Someone thought he was using a 28mm lens, but what, if different, did he use in the 1960s? It seems almost impossible to get Dye Transfer done today, what is his printing process?
