Anyone know the story w/ reprints on this? It's a book I'm after and will soon attain. Used first pressing *can* go as low as $200 if you're patient. $250 seems to be pretty easy to get. The condition is in question.

After doing some searching, it looks as though there is a reprint in Japan. Standard versions are $261 and change on the publisher's site, which I'm assuming is stemming from a retail price of 30,000 yen.
EDIT: 32,400 yen.

What's more interesting is there are special edition versions available (kindly append a zero to the price above) which come with an original print. Enticing... especially for someone that spent almost their entire adult life in Tokyo and is having the homesickness kick in.

Anywho, I'm more interested in the reprinted version. If it's the exact same book (although admittedly signed) for roughly the same price I'd probably rather have the original pressing knowing that the copy that I got had some type of journey itself before making it into my hands.

I had never seen some of these Klein images before. Don't know about reprints or where to get one so sorry but wanted to thank you for posting this.

The book looks amazing. It's high on my list for a lot of reasons... I'm very familiar with Tokyo from the mid 90's to present. But this is a look back to the prototype of what I would later call home for almost 2 decades. Mesmerizing.

When I get one make we can check it out over a coffee. ;)

I'm also after Shomei Tomatsu's "Oh! Shinjuku" but it runs several times the cost of this... IF you can find it.
