One of the greatest. In fact, arguably THE greatest French Humanist photography, but not so good at self promotion as Cartier-Bresson.

Just came back from Arles: Robert Frank exhibition. Very disappointing. Indifferent printing and very little immediate emotional connection. The Depardon exhibition next door was a lot better, but neither is a patch on Ronis. Bought Ronis's Provence: gorgeous. And only 10€ ($11, £8,50) second hand!
