The Collins Foundation sends their planes around the country giving walk-through tours, and rides to offset the costs. I broke up the photos taken over three days into seven groups, consisting of the P-51 Mustang, B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell, a general overlook of the air show, a special presentation of a street naming, and miscellaneous operations going on at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) in Roanoke, VA during the show.

Some great shots that bring back a lot of great memories!

I've taken my father and daughter up in the 909, twice, out of Boeing Field in Seattle. There is nothing remotely equivalent to being near a B-17 when it starts up its engines (being inside of one is also terrific!).
