Wired magazine uses a picture of what appears to be a Canon RF lens in an article about Canon moving digital SLR lens production to Taiwan.

Maybe they bought the image on the cheap without bothering to research what kind of lens it specifically was...

The Canonet QL17 I had was made in Taiwan. The EOS-EF 28-80 lens I have was made in Malaysia. Both seem to work well for the price.
