"Before the boom"! My first Nikon SP cost $175. My second one also cost $175 but included a 28mm and a 135mm Nikkor, plus meter. Those were the days (early 70s).

I don't have any problems with that in general. As the interest in classic film photography is increasing again, rising prices are just a normal market reaction.
And there are still lots of film camera models out there which are very cheap. Therefore there are currently enough options to pick-up film gear at bargain or quite attractive prices. Time to use and benefit from that situation for those who now want to start with film, or come back to film. Buy now at the still low prices.
In 5 years the price level be significantly higher.

We seem to be ignoring inflation and so on.
Here's an example; the Leica CL was only available new for a few years in the early to mid 70's and was then discontinued. By the late 70's secondhand prices were the peak price at about 300 UKP*.
If we upgrade that price by inflation then today it should cost something between 1700 and 3500 UKP, depending on how we calculate inflation.
So I guess they haven't eally peaked yet and haven't recovered much from their lowest price when digital became important and film was scorned.

yes; but in my case is leica lens.
couple years ago i got an offer 450EUR for a 35/2.8 summaron mint with box
now you know how the price skyrocketed.
i finally bought another summaron but no box and not as new as the other i skipped
