Wobbly front element

Greetings RRF Users

I wondered whether you may be able to answer a question about Voigtlander build quality. I have been using an old Canon lens but the front element started coming loose. I have heard this is problem with the Voigtlander 35mm f/1.7 Ultron. Does this happen with all their lenses? I use a hood so there will be occasional knocks.

no loose anything on my cv lenses.

There have been reports of some CV lenses with loose barrels. I haven't found that yet - but I did have the 28 Ultron hood fall apart and the focus knob broke off...

Thanks for that Back Alley. I think I might buy a Leica cl for my RD1 as I hear the focal length suits the frame line but I like the Voigtlander 35mm Ultron too.

I thought it was only Leica lenses that suffered from poor build quality? 😀
