I have seen that the Zeiss Ikon camera has a lever at the right of the lens mount, which acts as a frame selector in the optical viewfinder.
I have also noticed that the Wide Angle model has the same lever, although it has no optical viewfinder.

Can anybody tell me which is the function in such case?

I was wondering the same thing: Why have a viewfinder frame preview lever when there is no viewfinder.

Perhaps, we should ask Carl Zeiss AG this question.

i think it's used as the exposure lock.

So, if you own two Zeiss Ikon cameras, you will have to remember their diferences in order to avoid mistakes.

Imagine having two cars, eachone with inverted pedals!

PD: Things like these makes me think that form was more important than function, for the designers of this particular cameras. When the old Contax was made, it was the oposite, and it was a modern tool.
I wonder how should we call this new oposite example?
