Lots of questions around here lately about KB Camera and good not being delivered.

Unofficial word on the street is that KB is going through some difficulties now. I have heard but cannot confirm that all employees are gone and things are pretty rough there for now.

Agaion, this is just gossip I am hearing and just passing it on.

Crap! They have my $700 and I don't have my Motor Drive! What to do? They don't answer. Fax doesn't go thru either.

I suspect there is not much you can do except wait it out for a while and see what develops. It must be very annoying.

Perhaps some forum member from the area could do a drive by and see if there are notices on the door etc

Actually at one point KB Camera was one of the most reputable dealers around. From what I heard, things dont look too good there now and I would hold off on any purchases there until more is known. Just to be safe, try Popflash , Cameraquest or some other shop.

I dealt with Richard three years ago, and his operation was 1000 miles away from shady. I'm sure there's a GOOD reason for his not replying to messages and calls.

It's really a pity... I've been saving little bits of cash for a Summilux I wanted to buy from him.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Who among us lives in Seattle? Aren't the offices of KB in Wallingford? 😕

There is no good reason to keep people's money and not issuing refunds or sending out the products.
The good reason is that they may be broke -- happens to businesses big and small all the time. No one plans to go broke! Those that are owed money or goods are now creditors and typically never see anything.

I dealt with Richard for several years and he is not someone who "rips people off". I think and hope that he will be able to right his situation and continue to provide the excellent service I had always received when assembling my Leica collection, which he so ably provided.

Jorge, with your inside knowledge, is this reasonable?

A local camera store told me that they just sold most of their used gear to them (around $12,000 worth).
I've always had a good experience with then and one juse 2 weeks ago.
I hope everything will be O.K. with them.
