Wordstar Bundle Available

Lily Tomlin had a Skit on Laugh-In where she talked about Punch Cards and "resizing Them" just enough to drive the computer crazy. She soaked them, then dried and ironed them out. Just enough to shrink those tiny little holes.

As it happens, I have several old Kaypros which I bought about 20 years ago when they were nearly worthless (I paid about $20-$25 for each of them, they're worth about 5-10X that now). Kaypro bundled them with either Wordstar or Perfect Writer. One of the Kaypros was formerly owned by Ezra Shapiro, who used to write for Byte magazine.

Perfect Writer was one of the first programs to work with "windows" in the sense that you could pull up multiple documents simultaneously and copy and paste text between them. Wordstar however is much more user friendly. The Okidata printer still works perfectly after 40 years.

I had been on the lookout for a K10 for many years, unfortunately that hard drive is the weak spot for those machines in their old age. Funny because the Tandon full height floppy drives were the weak spot on the standard machines, but they are usually repairable, whereas the hard drives aren't (within reason). My uncle who was selling computers at the time the K10 was new talked about how everybody thought you'd never be able to fill a 10 megabyte drive!
