Arab Spring, Tea Party, UK Riots, Occupy Wall Street... The last several years have seen more civil unrest and people "taking to the streets" than any time since the 60's Vietnam protests and the civil rights movement (at least in the US). This thread is a photos only (as in NO comments - especially political) devoted to to the topic of "people taking to the streets". Please feel free to contribute. If you do, please include what the protest is, where it was, and the date. This thread will be started using reposted photos from the closed Occupy Wall Street thread.

Not from the Occupy movement, but here in Puerto Rico we had a student strike the first few months of this year over a proposed (and later implemented) fee that almost doubled the cost of studying the state university.

You're welcome, rover... my pleasure. I think it can be a powerful thread, given that this is forum is well-represented internationally. I will post the rest from the other thread tomorrow afternoon. I copied the image URLs to a text file and added the image tags to each to make things easier so I could just cut-n-past them into the thread... then forgot to email the file to myself to continue when I got home...(Doh!) rest will have to wait until tomorrow.

I'm thrilled that PollitowuzHere posted some excellent stuff not from OWS, but from a student strike in Puerto Rico! Keep'em rollin'!
