Protest / Rally

Protest / Rally

clallam-01 by beyondnegative, on Flickr
Taken a few years ago in Sequim, WA. This was a rally for the Border Patrol shortly before a protest a few blocks away. The protest and rally were in opposition/support of recent controversial "citizenship checks" the border patrol was performing on public transportation. Essentially, the BP was boarding buses in the area and asking for ID.

Also a few years ago, a protest in Victoria Canada during the first legs of the Torch Relay. The protest was meant to draw attention to the vast amount of money spent on hosting the Olympics that could have been spent elsewhere.

Some of these are from Foley Square, 10.5.11.
The rest are from a street theater action by 1199 SEIU on 10.18.11. The actors were pretending to be the 1%.
