I just got back from a trip to Madrid. I strolled the city after dark, and the X-Pro 1 did a great job of capturing what I saw.

wonderful evocative shots. they really convey a sense of place. the camera/lens performance is obviously outstanding. i am particularly struck by the minimal distortion.

Great shots here David. #2 has some stunning light. Virtually every shot I see from this camera impresses me. I've been astonished at the versatility in set-up with these things and have now hit on a set up that works perfectly for me, just wish I had the beauty of Spain to photograph :)

Thanks for the comments, everyone. This camera continues to impress me. It gets out of the way so I can make photographs--the hallmark of a good camera.

There were no problems focusing with either lens (18mm and 35mm), and the RAW files are incredibly noise-free. There is also plenty of dynamic range to tweak in post (I like to slightly crush blacks).

Thanks guys.

SirAlien...I did the b&w conversion with SilverEfex Pro 2, and you can customize grain there, along with film presets.

Generally I start with an Ilford HP5 look, and go from there with dodge/burn, etc.

Beautiful images! Well done.

I'm still too in love with film and my film cameras to go digital, but when I finally break down and succumb, the X-Pro 1, or whatever iteration will be out at the time, is almost certainly going to be what I get. I generally dislike digital black and white (just personal preference), but these are really, really nice.

Thanks for sharing.

beautiful images. I used to stroll around Madrid at night a lot taking photographs when I lived there, it's fantastic. many gorgeous scenes and unique moments. it's a good city to photograph!
