I wouldnt put a&i on the same level as some of the stuff mentioned here. Certainly Paris/Richard photo on melrose do a way better and more consistent job than A&i does for a big commercial lab in LA. They are ok but nothing to get excited about for BW IMO.

My friend Edgar Praus's custom lab in Rochester, New York has world-class clients -- besides me of course ;-)

I've found one in Seoul, Korea in the Chunmurro area. PM me for details, if interested.
I live in Korea as well! I tried to PM you but it says that you've chosen not to receive PM's. I sent you a flickr mail instead.

Acacia Photographics in Adelaide (closing their doors and taking on no new work from March, sadly).
Blanco Negro in Sydney.
Imaginoir in Paris.
CTK in Prague used to send their work out to a lab near the Budejovicka metro station that was stupendous but I can't remember its name. They had huge stores of frozen old papers, Ektalure, Forte and others that would still be good if they were stored carefully.

If I wasn't doing it myself, I would use someone like Robin Bell:

the one that is - or should be, in your basement! This has been a pondering question for sometime, who are the best black and white labs in the world, when it comes to black and white archival printing in Asia, Europe, N. America?

This guy sounds good, had a few good email exchanges with him. Will develop in D-76. Next time I have a big job, too much to do myself, I may give him a try.
APM Darkrooms is very good in NYC but she gave up her commercial space and works out of a private darkroom now.
Robert is my printer and his work is fantastic. Highly recommended!
Cheers,
