Would you buy this lens?

Hey guys, I'm trying to get a Summitar for my IIIc and was looking at this one on the fleabay - 200903959967 ...It's beat up but looks alright after a CLA. What do you think?

The front and rear glass looks good...
Why not...

Get it:

• Re-Lubbed
• Blades cleaned up
• Exposed elements of the Optical blocks cleaned up (4 surfaces)
• INF Stop checked..(Internal focus stop for INF)

Those 4 things I have done on every used lens I buy. It is worth the $45-75 if you use the lens regularly.

I was looking for one lens to keep on my camera, I've got an Industar, but I don't quite like the performance of it. The thing that kept me away was all the brassing on the lens.

Well it's been sold but I might as well add my 2d worth. Looking at the lens number it's from 1946, meaning it could be coated and so the cleaning might be more difficult than you think. Uncoated ones are easiest to clean with less chance of screwing it up...
