I took it one step further and bought an M7 yesterday, instead of an A7 or maybe the X-T1.
Although I am not giving up my EM5 or GR, I sold off quite a few of the less interesting Oly m4/3 lenses to subsidize getting the M7 with Sonnar 50/1.5 for a certain monochrome film look i have not been able to surpass with digital so far.
IMO there some incredible combinations that i now have instant access to.
1. Oly 60/2.8 on the em5 for a 120mm equivalent portrait length with absolutely amazing color rendition.
2. GR 28mm equivalent wide angle with perfectly matched sensor and the best one-handed snapshot controls of any camera on the market. Works amazingly well for group and context shots with off camera flash in my left hand, with leaf shutter synch upto 1/2000.
3. And now, I have a portable and functionally perfect, classic fast 50 full-frame combo that gives me the best bokeh and most beautiful black and white contrast and grain texture ever.
Maybe someday one system will make all this possible in one package, but for now I can carry all three in a small bag and change between them very quickly and efficiently.
