Small world indeed. I'm out here in Las Vegas attending a conference and a random assortment of us were having dinner in a local Greek restaurant here, when I noticed somebody at the next table pulling out what appeared to be a Real Camera. 🙂

Of course I went over to find out what it was, and it was a Leica M8, and (unknown to me until we introduced ourselves) fellow RFFer DTBorden (who admits to not being very active). 🙂

Yes, small world! We talked about RFs and film and of course the violet cast. 🙂

Very coincidental! 🙂

Were you tempted by the M8?

I was almost afraid to hold it for fear I would drop it or something! 🙂

It was nice to see this up close. If it had a full frame sensor (I don't know why it bothers me, but it does) and an option for film, I would most definitely want one, but the way it is, not really ...

Back in '92, I paid Kodak an extra $4,000 to get a camera with that "cast problem".

That's the big problem, those things are ex$pen$ive!
