Imagine visiting two small rooms, aprox 20 x 15 feet -- filled with signed original prints from floor to ceiling by many of the most famous photographers ever. Even the floors were filled with framed prints stored back to back. The most expensive print, about $110,000 or so was in a stack on the floor.
That is the gallery I viewed today in stunned amazement.
Imagine Ansel's Moonrise hanging on the wall and not being particularly "special" because of the images that surround it. I've never seen so many signed original works by so many world famous photogs in one place before.
All prints but a few in B/W, zero digital prints. Many were famous ikonic images.
