Hi RFF,
I need to take the top plate off my M6 in order to check adjust the rangefinder alignment. I've focused my M6 at infinity on the full moon and it's definitely out so need some attention. I've had a quote of £250 for a full service (which it needs) but cash is tight at the moment so I was going to fix the rangefinder myself then send it for a proper service in the new year.
The following youtube clip shows how to remove an M6 top plate:-

Where can I purchase the set of copper wrenches/clamps used to remove the two threaded caps around the top of the shutter release mech? I've tried numerous searches including ebay but this is difficult as I don't know the correct term for the tool.
Thanks, Tim

I don't know why but I expected a N/NW thread with images of wrenches, knowing full well we're not even the right forum.
Ok I admit I have such images ...somewhere.
Sorry for the diversion.

According to this http://nemeng.com/leica/034b.shtml you do not have to remove the top plate but you will need a special tool and have to remove the red dot to access one of the screws.
