Wrist Strap for the Sigma DP2 Merrill?

On my compact I use an Optech wrist strap. Not fancy but works well and is comfortable. I just ordered the Rainbow Imaging one above to try.

i have that strap and it works great on a DSLR, i just don't like the fact that with the placement of the strap lug on the sigma in an awkward place (think above your right thumb and parallel to the long edge of the camera), the potential for screen scratching is high with these types of straps with hard elements.

Seriously (and I am a great fan of the Sigma DP lines :angel🙂 I always use Op/tech Gotcha straps (different from the ones listed above) with anything but the biggest DSLRs.

They are inexpensive, hideous and does the job. They have saved my bacon on more than one occasion.

For what it's worth I ordered this two weeks ago and haven't received it. I also haven't received a response to an email inquiry I sent earlier this week. Buyer beware.

ETA: I sent a message through the web site and got back a quick response. Hopefully my experience was just a snafu.

Thanks again, Gary. I just received one of these to use on my Nex 7. Very nice and a great price. I think it will replace my Optech.

you may have bought the last one, B&H is showing it as discontinued now, lol.

about the coolanyard, 2 weeks would have been fine, it was the lack of any communication (even an order confirmation) that spooked me since i had already paid. i think everything is on track now.

This canon wrist strap is perfect for the sigmas. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned. I have them on my DP2M and DP3M.
