You're a funny guy, Joe. I like that. Before I retired from academia, and during one of the last division meetings I chaired, I recall a lady dean saying, "Oh, I'm so pleased we're all finally networking together."

I left the meeting and headed for the nearest bar.

I'm having a russian camera GAS attack. Just bought a FED-2, am dickering with Alex to exchange the Industar 26M (2.8/52mm) for a collapsible Elmar clone, and Sockeyed just told me I should have gotten a Zorki 4 because it has a better viewfinder. Plus I bought a Jupiter-8 for my Bessa R.

Clearly, there's no end to this. At least I'm not playing with Leicas. As my girlfriend so eloquently stated it one evening after sitting with me as I surfed ebay Leica auctions, "You get into those things, we'll be making our own lentil soup and buying day-old bread, at which point I'm hitting the road." She has such a way with words...

It's what first attracted me to her ten years ago. She's an artist who works in a somewhat unusual media: stretches silk on a special stretcher and then paints on them using some kind of exotic dyes. She also appropriated my Yashica T4 Super and won't give it back. She likes the fact that it fits into a clutch-purse. I acted heart-broken. (I didn't tell her about my Olympus XA. SHHH).
