I took these shots with the X-Pan on my A7r and processed them to JPEGs for my intended use.
It then seemed that I might get some of the X-Pan effect by cropping to 2.7:1 format.
OK, I have cut some heads of but the images are primarily about the cars. (I had not intended these crops when I shot the images).

Pretty cool! I always thought Fuji could do a nice thing by offering 2.7:1 as a frame option in their digital bodies, but they never ask me

On the Sony turn on the squares grid option. Use the middle two rows of squares and you get 3:1 framing.
Sigma offers 21:9 framing directly on their cameras.
