Hi folks, here's a quick question for you...I'm a recent buyer of a very nice X-Pan I. I have run two rolls of test films through it and the first results are spectacular.
However, I tried loading it with some Lomography Redscale XR film today and the camera would not do the initial rewind onto the take up reel. It would only rewind approximately two frames worth and then stopped. When I tried to snap a picture it appeared to not be advancing the film. I ended up trashing that roll and put a roll of slide film in it and it did the whole takeup reel thing immediately.
So, did it not rewind properly because I had the camera set on DXF instead of the film ISO value? I don't think the redscale film has a DXF code on it...Has anyone else tried to run weird non standard films through their X-Pan and if so is there a trick for this?
