Hi all,
Just got finished with about 15 rolls from our last trip and I was thinking the scanner was wonky...could not get a very sharp scan... screwed with it way too long then I took the x pan with the 45 on it outside and came to realise the infinty was off.

Anyway to fix on my own or suggesstion on whom to send it to?

I am not but when I go to infinty the lens is a touch past where it needs to be so that the image is slightly out of focus...very slightly. If I turn back from infinity jsut a touch it is fine. You really cant notice it and I could not tell it was wonky until I started really looking at clouds and such once they were scanned

You should take some shots close focusing with a tape measure and also shoot distant object with the lens set at infinity. If you get sharp images then it's your range finder. If not it's probably your lens. I found information on adjusting the range finder online here... it's very easy for horizontal adjustments a little trickier for vertical. If it turns out you have to adjust your range finder feel free to PM me if you need help... the linked instructions are a little vague in places.

I will test it tomorrow..thanks for the link and you ar eright...not all that much info!

My thought is lens...the PICs I am looking at were all shot with the lens set to infinity
