From FujiRumors:

I’ve received an email from a new source who shared with me an interesting rumor. According to the source the X-PRO1 will be replaced in a few months. The camera will have a newer viewfinder and a Dual Processor chip. I have been told the new Dual Processor eradicates jerkiness and lag in the EVF. And it of course makes the image processing even faster.

A Nippon magazine rumored the X-PRO2 for June, the X-E2 for September and an X-M1 for this month (read here). As I said, trusted sources could not confirm it until now. Hope I can tell you more soon. So stay tuned!

As you can see, there is a rumor-box now on FR. You can use it to share anonymously rumors. Please mark your message with an invented name or mark so that I can recognize you in future. That will help me to recognize trusted sources

Thanks for the update. Xm1 maybe this month. Lets c what the new product model is all about. Dual processor path sounds like what sigma did to get enough processing horsepower for their 15mp (45 foveon talk) sensors, I wonder, are we going to also c a 24mp sensor.

Fortunately I've cleared shelf space by selling my X100
would like either the X100s or X-Pro next gen.
I'm not good at waiting though.
I would think that with cellphones using dual and quad core chips - it shouldn't be a cost issue to have sufficient processing power on board in a $1000+ camera

The problem is that these may are specialized chips designed specifically to handle the digital sensor pipeline. If so then it becomes an economy of scale issue.

The cell phone makers have the same issue I believe, but they have better economy of scale..ie, more projected users then what Fuji maybe projecting.

The final cost of the next gen camera on the other hand may depend on the other new components is what I would guess right now.. The diff in cost for a xp1 vs xe1 due to no ovf was more than I would have expected as an example (in a good way :) ).

Only time will tell... But I am rooting for an upgraded xp or xe at least same price if not cheaper.

Yes!

Yes!

I just got my X100S and, while I still have a lot to learn, I would love an X-Pro1S/2 :p if it picked up the X100S sensor and processor (along with the digital split image MF) and, as already mentioned, added the built-in VF diopter adjustment. While I am a long time SLR/DSLR shooter, I am enjoying the lightness of the X100S and the fact it is a fixed focal length. I would not mind selling off all my DSLR stuff for a next gen X-Pro with the mentioned upgrades.

I am still trying to figure out the X100S :bang: but hopefully, I will be patient....
